NATAS Educational Tour of Oak Ridge National Laboratory

NATAS is offering a tour of the facilities in conjunction with its annual conference. The tour will take place on Monday, September 16 prior to the start of the conference. The tour departs from the UT Conference Center at 1:00 pm EDT. Attendees should be back at the Conference Center by 5:30 pm. It is a 45-minute bus ride to Oak Ridge.
- There are 62 spots available for this tour. The tour total may not be increased.
- The cost of the tour is $35.00 per person.This fee covers the cost of transportation to the facility.
- US Citizens Visitors must have a valid driver’s license, US Passport, military or state ID.
- Foreign National Visitors must bring their passport and must have received the correct and current stamp (VWB, B1, L1, etc.). An additional link will be sent to Foreign Nationals for additional information.
- Registration is open only until July 29. Once registration closes, there will be no additions, according to the Oak Ridge representatives.
- Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required when touring the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility Laboratory. If you are wearing a dress, skirt or shorts, you will not be able to leave the marked aisleways and approach research equipment.
- The tour will depart from the University of Tennessee Conference Center promptly at 1:00 pm. There will be no refunds if you miss the bus and Oak Ridge does not allow people to arrive in personal vehicles.
- NO ONE can enter any ORNL facility on a Tourist Visa.
- Department of Energy prohibits access to nationals from four countries designated by the U.S. Department of State – Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria.
- If you have one of the VISA’s MENTIONED NEXT, please use this list for entering the correct information. F-1 with I-20 or EAD – use the SEVIS ID, N00# and end date from your I-20 as your Visa number and expiration. If your EAD has expired, you MUST bring the extension Receipt Notice (I-765); E2, H-1, L2 or 0-1 – use Receipt Number (begins with LIN, EAC, SRC or WAC) and expiration found on your I-797 as Visa number and expiration; J-1 – use the N00# and expiration date from your DS-2019 as Visa number and expiration; VISA WAIVER, must be VWB (Visa Waiver-Business) – No Visa number or Expiration date should be entered. (Visitors are not allowed on DOE property with a VWT for Tourism Visa). REMEMBER – you MUST forward a secured copy of all Visa/Passport documentation each time you visit in person or virtually.
